Infection Control is a high priority for AIH. Every effort has been taken to minimize the occurrence of infection in patients. This effort includes a Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). The AIH CSSD is one of the most advanced sterilization unit in Bangladesh. Its design and operation ensures that all appropriate materials, supplies and instruments are sterilized and subsequently managed to maintain their sterility until used in patient treatment and care.
The management of sterile goods in AIH, through their entire “life cycle” is directed by international standard policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. And, all sterile goods and equipment and processes that produce them are continuously monitored for Quality Assurance and Infection Control.
