Inpatient Department (IPD)

AIH is having a dedicated block for IPD services which includes availability of beds as per the clinical requirement or choice of the patient. The different bed categories are:

  1. Critical Care : These beds are assigned as per clinical requirement
  2. Ward Care: These beds patients or attendants can choose as per their preference. The different categories available are:
  • General Ward Economy
  • Twin Sharing
  • Single Room
  • Deluxe
  • Super Deluxe

Flow At IPD:

Patient can be admitted after OPD consultation or emergency department as per the clinical requirement.

  1. Contact customer care counter or IPD billing with prescription order for admission
  2. Financial counselling will be done for tentative charges or packages if applicable
  3. General consent will be taken for creating admission
  4. Patient will be shifted to IPD by the assistant or the nursing staff as required
  5. Please collect your attendant pass at the time of admission
  6. Please follow the rules of the hospital during your stay
  7. Outside food, flowers, fruits etc. are not allowed
  8. At the time of discharge please go to the discharge payment counter at first floor for setteling the bill.
  9. Please take the financial clearance and handover at the nursing station before leaving the hospital premises.

Outpatient Department (OPD)

It’s the section of a hospital where patients visit for consultations, checkups, or minor treatments without getting admitted. Patients go to the OPD when they need medical attention but don’t require overnight stay or hospitalization.

A patient will visit the OPD for:

  • Clinical Consultations, Checkups and follow-up visits
  • Initial consultation for a new problem
  • Diagnostic Services including Radiology & Laboratory
  • Minor procedures or treatments
  • Pharmacy Services
  • Physiotherapy
  • Child Development Care (CDC)
  • Dialysis Services

Clinical Consultation & Management:

AIH is having a dedicated block for OPD services wherein patients can come and get their consultation done by the expert doctors on the rolls of AIH. Accordingly diagnostic services and pharmacy are also available.

AIH works on the concept of “Centre of Excellence”. As per this program specialized units are available for providing effective treatment to the patients. As per COE program doctors of one speciality are available at a single point only and patients does not have to switch places for consulting them.

How to get appointment?

Appointment can be booked by calling call centre at… or appointment can be booked in person. Doctor Appointments are of three categories:

  • First Consultation
  • Followup Consultation
  • Report check consultation

Note: The fee for each consultation is different which will be told at the time of booking.

OPD working hours: OPD working hours starts from 9 AM to 9 PM. Please check the schedule of your doctor before booking the appointment because the time of availability is different for different doctors.

Flow of OPD Visits: 

Following is the order in which a patient can avail the services at OPD.

  1. Registration (If not registered earlier). Registration fee is applicable
  2. Consultation fee to be paid at the customer care counter for conforming the appointment
  3. Report to the nursing station for checking the vitals
  4. Wait in the lounge for your turn
  5. Please collect your prescription from the pharmacy counter on first floor and ground floor
  6. You can also purchase medicine from the pharmacy counter by making payment at the attached customer care counter.
  7. Please read prescription carefully and consult the diagnostic department for any special preparation required for the investigation.
  8. Reports can be collected from the report delivery counter at ground floor near OPD pharmacy.
  9. Lab Samples can be given at the blood draw center on ground floor in the working hours and after working hours please contact emergency department.
  10. Radiology services are available on ground floor at DNT (Diagnostics & Therapeutic) block near emergency.
  11. Please take care of your belongings at all the time you are in premises specially when you are changing clothes or going for an investigation. Locker service is available but subject to availability.

Diagnostic Services (Radiology & Laboratory):

Laboratory Services

Samples for blood, urine, stool, sputum can be given at blood draw center. Please collect appropriate container with your label from blood draw center for collecting samples of urine, stool etc. in washroom and handing over to the staff at blood draw center.

Some samples are collected by using the help of special machine or equipment like CSF Fluid, USG guided biopsy etc. For these procedures you will be told about the location by the lab staff.

Laboratory Flow:

Please always carry your prescription at the time of ordering investigation and making payment at the customer care counter. Following is the order in which a patient can avail the lab services:

  1. Registration (If not registered earlier). Registration fee is applicable
  2. Payment for the investigation
  3. Go to blood draw center on ground floor
  4. Please collect the token for serial number
  5. Kindly follow the instructions of the staff for sample collection
  6. If you are feeling uneasy or abnormal please inform the staff immediately
  7. Reports will be available as per the different time period taken by the investigations for getting completed. The time may vary from few hours to few days which will be shared with you at the time of sample collection. Usually the histopathology and culture reports take minimum 3 days for the preliminary report.
  8. Please take care of your belongings at all the time you are in premises specially when you are changing clothes or going for an investigation. Locker service is available but subject to availability.

Radiology Services

Radiology services include different types of investigations. Patients/Attendants are requested if they have any special health condition like pregnancy or any special implants like pacemaker, artificial joints, rods etc. before ordering the investigation so that appropriate measures or fitness for the investigation can be checked.

Radiology Flow

Please always carry your prescription at the time of ordering investigation and making payment at the customer care counter. Following is the order in which a patient can avail the radiology services:

  1. Registration (If not registered earlier). Registration fee is applicable
  2. Payment for the investigation
  3. Go to radiology department on ground floor
  4. Kindly follow the instructions of the staff for change of dress or urine pressure
  5. If you are feeling uneasy or abnormal please inform the staff immediately
  6. Reports will be available as per the different time period taken by the investigations for getting completed. The time may vary from few hours to few days which will be shared with you at the time of sample collection.
  7. Please take care of your belongings at all the time you are in premises specially when you are changing clothes or going for an investigation. Locker service is available but subject to availability.
