In Bangladesh, a large number of populations are suffering from simple NUD to GI malignancy and from viral hepatitis to hepatocellular carcinoma. GI endoscopy has tremendous diagnostic and therapeutic role, and recently been replacing revolutionarily many open surgical procedures in Gastroenterology &Hepatology. In Apollo Imperial Hospitals, we have an endeavor to establish a state-of-the-art Gastrointestinal Unit to provide dedicated outpatient consultancy, in-patient service and almost all diagnostic & therapeutic endoscopic GI procedures. As GI endoscopic fields are tremendously expanding & evolving in recent years, we have future plan to add new territory with EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) for deeper abdominal intervention.
